Paul Blackburn held the Royals to one run on three hits over six innings in his season debut, and the A`s put him in the win column with a tiebreaking three-run sixth inning that started with Matt Chapman`s RBI double off the wall. Matt Olson hit his 13th home run for Oakland, while Alcides Escobar`s solo shot was Kansas City`s only damage.
